- शिवचरित्राचे गाढे अभ्यासक व ‘जाणता राजा’ या छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांच्या जीवनावरील आधारित महानाट्याचे निर्माते शिवशाहीर बाबासाहेब पुरंदरे यांना राज्य सरकारचा “महाराष्ट्र भूषण” हा सर्वोच्च सन्मान जाहीर झाला.

- भारतीय नौदलाची प्रशिक्षणार्थी शिडाची नौका ‘आयएनएस तरंगिनी’ आठ महिन्यांच्या युरोप दौऱ्यावर जात आहे. ही नौका युरोपमध्ये आयोजित उंच नौकांच्या स्पर्धेमध्ये सहभागी होईल.
- ‘सेल ट्रेनिंग इंटरनॅशनल’च्या वतीने या स्पर्धेचे आयोजन करण्यात आले आहे. यंदा ब्रिटन, नॉर्वे, डेन्मार्क, जर्मनी आणि नेदरलॅंडच्या किनाऱ्यांवर या स्पर्धांचे आयोजन करण्यात आले आहे. विविध आकाराच्या तीनशे शिडाच्या नौका या स्पर्धेमध्ये सहभागी होणार आहेत.
